Yoga Instructor Website

Meeting Joff at the Mayhem Mountain Festival was the perfect setting to learn more about him and his practice. He led us through a beautiful yoga session, preparing our minds and bodies for a day of highlining and climbing. Our paths aligned for a reason, and in the following months we worked together to present his services with a WordPress website that could grow alongside his practice. 

The Client Request 

An easy to maintain website able to represent their services in a professional manner. The site needs to attract interested leads through organic search and provide information. To match the look and feel of the branding and illustrations produced by the designer Nathan Miller. 

Blog for More Insight 

A Yogi Climbing’s blog serves as a space to share Joff’s fascination with human biology, sports, and healthy living. After studying a BSc. majoring in Human biology, Psychology and Microbiology, Joff pursued his interest in Yoga with a 500-hour teacher training in Vinyasa yoga. His blog posts are the perfect place to share more about his practice and the organizations he volunteers with. 

Classes 

Joff’s website lists information on his available ‘drop-in’ classes which he instructs at CityRock and Bloc11. In addition, he offers private classes from the clients home or in an open-air setting. While the classes at the climbing gyms are vinyasa focused, there is a clear connection made between the movements and the benefits to your climbing.

He is passionate about route setting and assists the Bloc 11 team in creating climbing problems. This insight plays well into Joff’s classes where yoga is specialized for climbers who are tackling these problems in the gym and similar problems outdoors. 

Call to Action 

The aim of the website is to help the customer along their journey by providing information about Joff’s available services. Starting with awareness of his brand, positioning himself in front of active searchers for yoga instructors. It also helps visitors to consider their options and encourages them to contact him. The climbing gyms who mention Joff’s services, as well as other posts are now directed to his own site. 

Keyword and Domain

 The main keyword targeted is yoga specialised for climbers. This appears as Joff’s tagline for his brand ‘A yogi climbing’. With aspirations to produce valuable content online and attract clients from anywhere in the world, a ‘.com’ domain was chosen as opposed to the localised ‘.co.za’. 

Choice of Hosting 

As a stand-alone website needing to host low amounts of data, we opted for Hostking’s Micro package to give Joff access to a WordPress website that is fast and secure. This hosting afforable hosting option still provides all the necessary services such as custom email accounts for the client.
